  Original vintage posters  are among the most fascinating historical objects available to collectors today. Created decades — and in some cases more than a century — ago, these posters were produced for real-world use during their time and survived against the odds. Many of the pieces available today are between 80 and 130 years old, making them rare witnesses to social, cultural, and commercial history. Unlike modern reproductions, original vintage posters were never meant to be preserved. They were created for short-term display in streets, theatres, stations, and public spaces, and most were discarded once their purpose was served. The few that remain today are therefore extremely scarce. Their survival is what gives them both historical importance and significant market value — with some posters reaching prices of up to £50,000 depending on age, subject, rarity, and condition.
